Support Center: SSL certificate & Secured Server Access
If you store sensitive data, such as customer profiles, on your site, you can secure your site by obtaining a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate.
SSL is a protocol that transmits private documents through the Internet. It creates a secure connection between a client and a server over which data can be sent securely. SSL works by using a private key to encrypt data transferred over the SSL connection.
To access a page using the secure server use the URL
https://66.70.158.141/
Followed by your domain name, and the name of the file you wish to access. If you do not name the file it will revert to the Prompt Service Server name in the address bar.
For Example if John wanted to link to a form with a secured server he would create the link https://66.70.158.141/johndecarie.com/contactme/form.shtml
If he didn't put in the page name he would get https://promptservice.promptservice.com/~admin12/contactme/formmail.shtml in the address bar.
